The enterprise is not missing another model.
Most consequential operating failures begin as a loss of meaning. A requirement changes, but the model and the product record no longer describe the same design. A contract promises one service while the ticket fields, severity rules, and resolver teams execute another. A product decision moves from prototype to production to sale, and the operational context disappears at every organizational boundary. An AI system produces an answer without preserving which evidence was current, which uncertainty remained, or who authorized the resulting action.
Each team may own its system. No team owns the thread.
Converge Intelligence exists for that gap. The work is to reconstruct the real operating system, connect its authoritative records, preserve the lineage of decisions, and establish explicit control over what human and machine intelligence may propose, verify, approve, and commit. The installing discipline is the same: take the operation apart to its real problems, aim intelligence at one at a time, and hold the results on one thread.
This portfolio is not a collection of company names. It is a proof system. Six records show the same discipline holding across materially different operating worlds — all of them from the layer above the noise, where implementation means revenue, uptime, and results a buyer can check.
Every record here was built the same way: sent inside an operation that wasn’t ours, handed its systems, and held to its number — until it held. That is the profession this company was incorporated to practice. The record is the company.
Start from the problem you already recognize.
| If you are saying… | The record that answers | The first Converge move |
|---|---|---|
| “We have the engineering tools, but no coherent digital thread.” | Boeing Defense — autonomous systems | Reconstruct one product or program thread from requirement through model, analysis, product state, operational software, R&D, release, recovery, and lifecycle feedback. |
| “Our AI answers, but it cannot prove what it relied on or who authorized the action.” | Converge Intelligence Engine | Define the authoritative sources, operational ontology, event history, propose/verify/commit boundaries, and first inspectable decision trace. |
| “We keep missing the SLA even when teams are working.” | Simon & Schuster + Lockheed Martin | Trace the commercial promise into service objects, ticket fields, clocks, routing, notifications, evidence, and KPI logic. |
| “Product, manufacturing, supply, retail, and service all see a different business.” | Nike | Map one product-to-revenue value thread and connect technical incidents and decisions to affected products, gates, locations, and transactions. |
| “Customer, meter, field, telecom, and control systems each work — but the service still fractures between them.” | NW Natural | Reconstruct one customer-to-physical-service thread, expose shared dependencies and recurrence, and install the controlled change. |
| “We need a hard ROI result before a larger program.” | BPA | Establish the current-state number, identify the structural cause, and redesign one bounded operating condition. |
Six records. One discipline, holding across six operating worlds.
This portfolio is organized around the operating problem a buyer recognizes, the technical system beneath it, the intervention that changed the condition, and the transfer into the buyer’s own environment.
| Proof lane | Enterprise record | What the buyer can now believe |
|---|---|---|
| Digital engineering | Boeing Defense — autonomous systems | A fragmented engineering estate can become one resilient aircraft-state thread across production software, VTOL R&D, product definition, continuity, and Boeing-enterprise standards. |
| Governed intelligence | Converge Intelligence Engine | Operating memory, ontology, frontier-model reasoning, independent verification, authority, and proof can occupy separate control boundaries. |
| Regulated utility | NW Natural | Customer, billing, metering, field, telecom, SCADA, safety, and service evidence can be read as one utility while retaining their real control boundaries. |
| Commercial operations | Simon & Schuster | A contractual service promise can be translated into executable definitions, escalation, reporting, training, and accountability. |
| Global value chain | Nike | Pre-production manufacturing, global production, multi-brand operations, logistics, selling, service, and feedback can be read as one product-to-revenue operating system. |
| Managed service delivery | Lockheed Martin | A reusable operating language can make service performance repeatable across teams, accounts, and client environments. |
The common move is not a platform installation. It is the reconstruction of an attributable operating system around a consequential enterprise outcome.
The tools change. The operating law does not.
- Reconstruct the real system. Follow the business or engineering outcome across formal ownership boundaries until the actual dependencies are visible.
- Identify authoritative state. Determine which records, models, events, and decisions make a statement valid — and when.
- Preserve the thread. Keep source, version, lineage, impact, and ownership attached as work moves.
- Control consequential change. Separate proposal, verification, authorization, and commitment. Do not let fluent output inherit operational authority.
- Make the result measurable. Tie the intervention to availability, recurrence, cost, service performance, throughput, or another operating number the enterprise can reproduce.
This is what makes the record relevant to AI. The historical work was not retroactively “AI transformation.” It was the harder substrate work that determines whether enterprise intelligence can be trusted: system architecture, operational semantics, continuity, recovery, governance, evidence, and accountable execution.
- CIO — the system landscape becomes legible without requiring a platform-first rip-and-replace.
- COO — handoffs, exceptions, and recurrence become part of one operating model.
- CDO or Head of AI — models receive governed context and explicit authority boundaries.
- Engineering leadership — requirements, models, analysis, product state, software, and release decisions can remain connected.
- CFO — the first install begins with a number and ends with a result that can be defended.
Keeping autonomous-aircraft engineering moving across a fragmented digital environment
Practitioner record · Boeing Defense — autonomous systems · engineering application system architecture
The operating condition
An autonomous aircraft depends on more than its airframe. It runs on requirements, models, software, sensors, payloads, communications, ground control, test evidence, technical data, and configuration decisions, all needing to agree with one another. Boeing’s autonomous-systems portfolio included fielded uncrewed aircraft, command-and-control software, interoperable payloads and sensors, beyond-line-of-sight communications, and VTOL research maturing without breaking the operational product line already in service. The engineering estate behind that work held 126 mission-critical applications, among them IBM Rational DOORS, Cameo / MagicDraw with Teamwork Cloud, Aras Innovator, Perforce, and MATLAB, running on 120+ Windows and Linux servers and a $2M+ annual engineering-application budget, in support of more than 400 engineers across the aerospace organization.
The intervention
- Make the estate legible. Portfolio records, architecture views, usage and health data, ownership, service dependencies, and recovery information made the real system visible.
- Remove or reduce concentration risk. License-service recovery, virtualization, data-layer isolation, backup strategy, and monitoring reduced the number of invisible work-stop dependencies.
- Modernize without breaking the thread. Cameo, Teamwork Cloud / Cassandra, DOORS, Mentor, MATLAB, OpenLM, and VeriStand upgrades were sequenced around compatibility, validation, user acceptance, rollback, and Boeing standards.
- Connect technology to engineering consequence. Recovery tiers, user bases, program dependencies, and service latency translated platform decisions into business decisions.
- Move knowledge out of one person’s head. Architecture records, handbooks, SysML views, application data, escalation requirements, and recovery models converted tacit expertise into a continuity asset.
The operating result
The strongest result is continuity through change. The estate supported more than 400 engineers across the aerospace organization while applications, databases, model repositories, license services, infrastructure, and security baselines evolved underneath it — without an application-specific incident stopping engineering work, and with near-complete uptime on production- and revenue-impacting systems. Major platform modernizations — Cameo toward Boeing standard, Mentor Graphics, the MathWorks licensing strategy — landed without breaking the thread. The result was an engineering environment able to carry complexity without every change becoming a work stoppage.
Why it matters to your enterprise
If you run model-based systems engineering, a digital thread, or engineering AI, this is your operating problem. Your AI agent cannot be allowed to reason from whichever engineering record is easiest to retrieve. It needs the current requirement, model, product state, affected dependencies, configuration, authority, and evidence of verification, and a different permission model for reading, proposing, approving, and committing. Converge brings the architecture beneath the labels: authoritative records, typed relationships, lineage, recovery, control planes, change authority, and a clear link from technical dependency to engineering consequence.

The operating layer enterprise AI was missing
Internal technical proof · Converge Intelligence Engine · live reference deployment inspected July 22, 2026
The operating problem
Most model interactions begin in an empty room. Context is assembled for the moment, an answer is generated, and the room disappears — useful for conversation, inadequate for an enterprise operation, which has to remember what happened, which source supported it, when a statement applied, when it was recorded, what changed later, and whether a proposal was authorized to become a change. Left inside temporary model context, evidence detaches from the claim derived from it, later information silently overwrites what was believed at the time, a generator grades its own output and closes its own work, and uncertainty flattens into confident prose. People and models degrade under long, complex work; a mature architecture has to compensate for that.
The architecture
The Engine is a source-governed operating loop, not a chatbot wrapper, built on six commitments.
- Authoritative sources remain authoritative — the vault is canon, the graph a rebuildable projection.
- Work becomes attributable events, and events become an operational ontology carrying valid-time and recorded-time fields.
- Frontier models sit above provider-separable state, so a vendor can change without rebuilding the ontology.
- Proposal is separated from commitment through a propose–verify–ratify–commit sequence — a closure firewall so the producing engine cannot unilaterally declare its own work complete.
- The system reconciles itself against structure through validators, nightly reconciliation, and drift detectors.
- Honest marks and typed uncertainty run under bounded execution, with cost ceilings that can stop work.
The operating result
At the July 22 inspection point, the live projection held 153,489 recorded events, 1,165 nodes, 1,264 typed edges, and 556 distinct event-session identifiers, with 153,489 full-text-search rows kept synchronized with the event record. The inspected nightly run showed zero critical failures, and 34 of 34 structural and lineage-binding invariants passed, with zero orphan edges and zero dead graph paths. The Engine’s separate Synthesis & Reasoning Core held 771 tracked files, 302 Python files, 74,064 lines of tracked Python, 45,225 non-test lines, and 1,326 static test-function declarations — built across more than one billion operator-tracked tokens of human–AI work across platforms.
Why it matters to your enterprise
For your enterprise, this means existing systems of record stay authoritative instead of being replaced by an AI layer. You can reconstruct what happened and in what order, evaluate a decision against what was true and known at the time it was made, and change or upgrade a model without rebuilding the ontology, authority model, and operating memory built around it. Recommendation stays separated from authority to act, and structural drift becomes visible and recoverable rather than silent.

Keeping customer, revenue, field, and gas operations on the same thread
Practitioner record · NW Natural · regulated natural-gas utility application and service operations
The operating condition
More than 700,000 customers experienced one utility, not a billing platform, a meter network, a contact center, a field application, a telecom estate, and a gas-control environment considered separately. Inside the operation, that one service crossed legacy customer records, Windows and Linux application services, fixed-wireless meter collection, Avaya communications, field tools, data centers, SCADA, control rooms, and emergency operations. The estate carried four coupled operating lanes: customer and revenue (contact center, IVR, the legacy AS/400-based customer and billing record); meter and field state (Itron, Eagle Talon, fixed-wireless collection); gas control and safety (pipeline, SCADA, gas scheduling, emergency coordination); and the shared infrastructure beneath all three. A single call could begin in IVR and end as a billing issue.
The intervention
- Keep the service available while changing it. Metering, wireless, telecom, and IVR programs moved through evaluation, vendor coordination, testing, migration, failover, and post-deployment support.
- Make the estate observable. Application and server logs, monitoring, call data, ticket data, SQL sources, locations, departments, and field context were brought into an operating view.
- Reconstruct the failure pattern. The 5,626-record analysis moved past anecdotes and exposed recurrence by application, time, organization, and symptom.
- Translate evidence into control. KPI definitions, SLA/OLA logic, ticket coding, training, ownership, reporting, and change recommendations made the diagnosis executable.
- Measure what happened next. The connectivity intervention was followed by recurrence measurement — the 50% reduction is a measured result, not an anecdote.
The operating result
High availability and continuity were sustained across an 18-application metering and unified-communications suite running on dozens of Windows/Linux nodes and appliances. An authored performance program combined ARS, Avaya, and SQL evidence into 5,626 service records across headquarters and field operations, exposing a recurring connectivity pattern that gave Infrastructure and Communications a concrete cause to remove. Recurring connectivity incidents fell by half — measured from the operation’s own evidence. The wider result was architectural maturity: incidents became evidence about the operation, not just units of work.
Why it matters to your enterprise
If you run a utility, telecom, logistics network, field-service organization, or other regulated infrastructure, your customers share the same condition: they experience one service while your enterprise manages many systems. Converge reconstructs the full operating thread around one consequential outcome without flattening SCADA into billing or metering into telecom. It preserves your real boundaries, then connects their state, evidence, ownership, and consequence well enough for your human and AI intelligence to make a better decision.

Turning the customer promise into an operating system
Practitioner record · Simon & Schuster account through the Lockheed Martin managed-services environment
The operating condition
The account was failing its time-to-resolve and customer-satisfaction measures. The visible conclusion was that delivery needed to move faster. The more useful diagnosis was that the customer and provider were operating from different definitions of the service — the contract, SLA, incident matrix, Remedy configuration, ticket codes, notification rules, resolver paths, and Crystal Reports did not all describe the same executable promise. Every layer could appear locally correct while the end-to-end service failed: the commercial team could point to the contract, the Help Desk to the fields available in Remedy, resolver teams to the information they received, and the customer to the outage it lived through. No artifact carried the obligation from promise to action.
The intervention
The intervention treated the commercial promise as the first layer of the technical architecture, making the operating entities explicit: customer, contract, service, business capability, incident, request, impact population, severity, resolver group, response threshold, notification obligation, escalation, KPI, and service credit. The relationships followed a governed logic.
- A contract governs a service.
- A service enables a business capability.
- An incident affects a service and a population.
- Impact and urgency determine severity under a governed policy.
- Severity activates response and notification obligations.
- A resolver owns a restoration action.
- Recorded states and timestamps produce the metric used in customer review.
The operating result
Service metrics improved, and recurring penalty exposure — reported at many thousands of dollars per month — ceased after the redesign. The relationship then expanded into onsite work with senior logistics engineers in the Philadelphia area and executive and policy work in New York, moving from remediation into the deeper publish-to-cash thread the service desk had been protecting all along: order, pick, pack, scan, route, ship, deliver, invoice, return, and reconcile. The account did not simply accept a revised report — it brought the work closer to the systems that made the business run.
Why it matters to your enterprise
Enterprise AI programs often repeat this exact failure: a capability gets promised before the operating definitions, authority, escalation paths, and measurement system exist to deliver it. A capable model can still fail as a service in your organization if you have not defined what the work is, which evidence controls the decision, what the model may do, who owns the exception, and which metric proves delivery. Converge begins by making your promise executable.

The digital thread beneath a global product
Practitioner record · Nike World Headquarters through the Lockheed Martin managed-services environment
The operating condition
A Nike product appears to move cleanly from idea to shelf. Underneath it is a chain of creative and technical workstations, test tooling, Air-unit manufacturing, quality and marketing decisions, supplier production, inventory, distribution, point of sale, data centers, call centers, and support operations, running beneath a managed multi-brand portfolio that included Nike, Nike Golf, Converse, Cole Haan, and Hurley. The business consequence crossed all of them while service intake saw only the symptom. The hard problem was contextualization: what the disruption meant to the product and the business, before any technical response. A workstation failure could interrupt routine office work or a time-sensitive product experiment, and a point-of-sale interruption could become immediate revenue loss.
The intervention
The service layer had to hold a physical-digital estate most vendors never touch: pre-production Air-unit manufacturing, the private CNC floors used for test molds and product testing, the quality and marketing gates before mass-production handoff — and beyond them, the data centers, call centers, and point-of-sale systems where an interruption becomes revenue loss. Holding it meant working at every altitude of the roughly 6,000-person headquarters, from the desk beside the work to service-delivery leadership for the whole operation. What followed:
- Enter at the point of work: expose users, endpoints, and facilities in operating context.
- Diagnose the system, not the ticket: connect incident behavior to classification and escalation.
- Preserve learning and control high-impact events: root cause became policy, training, reusable knowledge, outage coordination, and management communication.
The operating result
The result was operating coherence at headquarters scale. The service layer became more coherent across a recognizable physical-digital environment: product creation, pre-production manufacturing, global production, multi-brand operations, data centers, retail transactions, and customer-facing service. Analysts received clearer rules. Resolver teams and management received better impact context. High-impact events gained a formal coordination path. Root-cause learning became policy, training, reusable knowledge, outage coordination, and management communication, and service metrics improved directionally.
Why it matters to your enterprise
AI value rarely stays inside one department of your enterprise. Your product data does not know what your manufacturing team knows, your service desk cannot see what the product team changed, and your sales team cannot trace which upstream decision produced the inventory state it now sees. The missed value — and the unmanaged risk — lives at the boundary. Converge reconstructs the economic chain before selecting the AI use case, so intelligence can trace a symptom to the product, population, and revenue path it actually touches.

Rebuilding the service-delivery control plane behind a multi-enterprise operation
Practitioner record · Lockheed Martin managed-services environment
The operating condition
A centralized delivery organization supported materially different enterprises — including Nike, Simon & Schuster, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — through a shared Help Desk, client-support, desktop, operations, and escalation apparatus. The combined reported footprint exceeded 50,000 employees, and each client carried different business systems, operating rhythms, commercial promises, and definitions of impact. Contractual measures were failing and creating financial-penalty exposure. The apparent problem was elapsed time; the deeper problem was the work object. Incidents and planned service requests entered the same apparatus under ambiguous semantics, so the wrong clock could start, the wrong priority could apply, and a team could complete the requested work yet still record a contractual miss.
The intervention
The rebuild ran through the people who carried the service: a 35-person delivery team, more than 50 Help Desk analysts trained to the new definitions, hundreds of knowledge-base articles, and ISO 9000–9001-grade training standards across the IT staff. Site visits, engineer and manager conversations, facility tours, and infrastructure study replaced central assumptions with each client’s actual operating reality, encoded into shared definitions rather than erased by them. The reconstructed control plane ran one loop — observe → classify → route → resolve → communicate → learn → update — built on an explicit service ontology: Client · Contract · Service · Work Type · Impact · Severity · Clock · Owner · Evidence · Escalation · Resolution · KPI.
The operating result
The redesign changed the managed service from a common queue into a contract-aware control plane. Different customer environments kept their own systems and business rules while entering one governed model for work type, timing, ownership, evidence, escalation, and closure. Analysts gained better client context, and high-impact work entered the correct control path. Resolved events improved the system rather than disappearing into individual memory. Management adopted the revised definitions and training model across service functions, and the operating record reports improved first-call resolution and severity handling.
Why it matters to your enterprise
Your AI automation will fail for the same reason this service model failed. If your systems cannot distinguish an incident from a request — or evidence from assertion, approval from execution, and recommendation from authority — automation only accelerates ambiguity. Converge creates the semantic and governance layer first. Intelligence then improves decisions inside a controlled operating model, with authority and evidence defined before any tool starts recommending.

A result that proves the discipline moves an operating number.
Practitioner record · federal enterprise environment
A federal enterprise carried a recurring operating cost that had survived every budget review — the cost of operating the way it always had. It was engineered out: one bounded operating condition re-architected through phased consolidation, governance, and operating controls, run with a seven-person team inside a consequential critical-infrastructure agency. More than $500,000 a year came out, and it has stayed out every year since — no initiative, no program, no one defending it. The number is strong because it is specific, repeatable, and attached to a real operating system.
Where this sits relative to Palantir and Dataiku
Sophisticated buyers recognize familiar architectural categories. The comparison is not feature parity with either platform. It is the enterprise problem addressed.
| Category signal | Palantir | Dataiku | Converge Intelligence Engine |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary center | Operational ontology and action layer at enterprise-platform scale. | Governed data, analytics, models, and agents at enterprise-platform scale. | Senior forward-deployed architecture and control method for one consequential operating domain. |
| Operating objects | Objects, relationships, logic, actions, and security. | Datasets, flows, lineage, models, agents, evaluations, and governance. | Source evidence, events, typed operational entities, lineage, decisions, authority, and measurable outcomes. |
| Model role | Models and agents act through the ontology and governed actions. | Models and agents operate through managed tools, guardrails, evaluation, and deployment controls. | Frontier models are provider-separable reasoning participants above governed state; the current synthesis runtime is Anthropic-first. |
| Distinctive control | Platform security, action permissions, audit, and operational writeback. | Lifecycle governance, evaluation, guardrails, approval, and GenAIOps. | Closure firewall, producer/checker separation, typed uncertainty, deterministic gate precedence, explicit commitment, and bounded execution. |
| Engagement implication | Adopt and configure a mature platform. | Adopt and configure a mature platform. | Reconstruct the customer system, define the operating ontology and authority, then install the smallest governed capability that moves the number — using the customer’s existing stack where appropriate. |
The defensible position: we understand the operating architecture that makes ontology-centered and governed-AI systems valuable, we have built and operate an inspectable reference implementation of it, and we can apply the discipline without forcing the buyer into a platform-first engagement.
Across every record, the enterprise needs six things.
- A source-of-record layer that preserves authoritative data, documents, models, and events.
- An ontology that names the real entities, states, relationships, obligations, and impacts of the domain.
- A digital thread that carries source, version, lineage, and decision history across system boundaries.
- A control plane that separates proposal, verification, approval, execution, and recovery.
- Operating telemetry that makes stage latency, recurrence, availability, cost, and consequence visible.
- A learning loop that converts resolved work into knowledge, policy, architecture, and a better next decision.
The software may be Palantir, Dataiku, an engineering platform, a utility application estate, an existing data stack, or a customer-built combination. Converge’s value is defining and installing the operating architecture that makes those assets coherent.
The First Engagement
Designed to answer one executive question: where is fragmented state, recurring failure, or ungoverned AI already expensive enough that a bounded architectural intervention can prove value?
You select one consequential domain. Converge reconstructs the system and produces:
- an operating topology across systems, teams, physical work, and decision boundaries
- the authoritative records and broken handoffs
- the first operational ontology for the domain
- a source-to-decision evidence thread
- a read / propose / approve / commit authority model
- one reproducible current-state number
- the smallest intervention capable of moving it
- proof gates, stop conditions, and a sequenced implementation path
Interview the operators, inspect the records, follow a real event or work object, and draw the system the organization actually has.
Establish the baseline from the customer’s own systems — no expansion occurs until the number and method can survive finance, operations, security, and technical review.
Implement the smallest governed capability required to change the operating condition; begin read-only where appropriate; preserve existing systems of record; make authority explicit.
Run the intervention against live work; show the evidence, decision trace, exception path, control behavior, and measured result.
Expand, redesign, or stop based on what the operating evidence says — not on sunk-cost pressure or a presentation calendar.
Why this model lowers delivery risk: the customer does not have to believe a transformation promise. It can inspect one reconstructed system, one authority model, one bounded installation, and one result. Make the real state visible. Preserve the thread. Control the change. Measure the operation.
